A Desperate Escape is book three in Order of The MoonStone Series. I would say you need to read book one and two first so you will not be lost . Wow, I had thought this series could not get any better , but was I wrong. I really loved A Desperate Escape and think it is my favorite. The author drew me in right at the start and I was hooked from then on . The story continues with Prince Dvarius and Kayden. There is lots of action in A Desperate Escape that will keep you turning the pages so you can find out what is going to happen on the next pages. I got started reading and did not want to put it down till the finish and then I wanted more. Kayden’s mission was to kill the Prince. What happens now that The Prince knows Kayden’s identity ? JC Morrows has a winner in A Desperate Escape . She did not disappoint me.

The best of the series so far. The action sequences are so realistic that I was flinching along with the characters. I liked the way Davarius was portrayed as almost schizophrenic in his trying to figure out the motives of Kayden and all of the other characters.
I have been a fan of the Order of the Moonstone series from the very first one. Each one grips and grabs you by the color from the opening line. A Desperate Escape is no different. It picks up after Kayden has proclaimed, "I was sent here to kill you."

What happens next is the love of Christ. Ms. Morrows has hinted at the prince's faith in the previous books but this one delves deeper into Prince Dvarius' faith. At times, my disbelief in the scenes gave me pause. Yet, I think that is exactly what Ms. Morrows was going for.

If you've not read the other books in the series, I encourage you too. It makes the story that much richer. If not, don't miss this one, you won't be sorry.

I have really enjoyed Kayden's story and this one is the best book so far because FINALLY there are some answers in the plot that I have been eager to learn! I love the cover, LOVE Kayden's friendship with Lady Catarine, and it's wonderful how Catarine and Dvarius are enthusiastic about sharing their faith with Kayden.

At this juncture, Kayden is out of time and Drey directly attacks the castle, killing and injuring many innocent people. Alfreid has a brief moment in the story, but since Kayden's allegiance is now to the prince, I don't think she's on good terms with him anymore.

The castle is no longer safe for the prince so the action definitely picks up and Kayden is finally beginning to understand what true love is.

I also enjoyed meeting a new character, the man in charge of security detail, who needs to update the queen's security as well. Also, there's a new development about Brehn, the queen's main assistant (forgot what her title is, but she is important to the plot). I'm VERY interested in seeing where that goes )

I don't consider this book a stand alone, there are just too many little details going on to jump in at Book 3, but I do believe the story is getting better as the series goes and it's wonderful seeing what's next for these characters. This one ends on a cliffhanger, but it's worth it.

Sensational---Breathtaking—Unbelievable

JC Morrows writing style drew my whole being into the tense moments at the palace in A Desperate Escape. Ms Morrow had these words in the Preface of A Desperate Escape, “I was sent here to kill you.” Prince Dvarius had hurriedly rushed Kayden into a bunker as explosions had happened within the palace wall. How will Dvarius react to Kayden and vice versa while the two of them wait out the explosions in the bunker?

Every fiber of my body and mind was attuned to the chaos, moments of tenderness, threats and trying to save their lives throughout book 3 in the Order of the Moonstone series. There were so many twists and turns in the stories and unpredictable events happening wherever the Prince and Kayden went.

Prince Dvarius’s life is on the line and he knew Kayden had been sent to end it. But yet his thoughts were “He didn’t know her at all—how could he possibly love her?” (page 33). As Kayden is suffering once again from the shock of the destruction from the explosions, after leaving the bunker, Prince Dvarius couldn’t leave her side—after all she had saved his life once again. But his mother needed him, too. Who, when, where, what and how will individuals try to destroy Prince Dvarius’s life? Will they be successful? Will Kayden’s life be cut short since she had not fulfilled her mission yet?

I rated this book 5 stars and look forward reading the fourth book in this series A Tragic Consequence. (To bad it’s not available for a few months). My mind is intrigued in knowing if the palace staff, the Prince, Queen, and other loved characters survive or if the Order of the Moonstone takes over Auralius and the palace.

Instance and full of action and adventure. Really good book. You should read it. I didn't want to put the book down.
I liked this better than book two. But I still felt there was a lot of repeat in the book.
