I didn't know what to expect when I picked the book up for our monthly book-club! I took me only 2 days to read this drama-filled story. I couldn't put it down! Brenda and Brian's characters were well written and believable. Even though I didn't like Brian based on his actions in the book, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen to him next! The rest of the characters had great story lines of their own and I hope that the author will add some of them to her next book! I want to know more about these characters.
The author kept the suspense going and added some unexpected plot twists. I would recommend this book for all readers, including men - (the author has the way guys think down pat)! It has a little bit of everything for every type of reader - action, romance and suspense! Ms. KF Johnson is a new author about to blow up in the literary scene! Continue writing... cause I can't wait for the sequel!!! I will definitely buy the next one!

This book was drama filled! I enjoyed reading it and did get the sequel. The reason for the 4-star is because in some places it was toooooooo descriptive, meaning I didn't have to know that she pulled her arms out of her sweater and laid it on the bed (that's just an example, it wasn't in the book, but you get the gist).
Wow, this book was filled with so much juicy family drama that it was insane. Between Brenda, Brian & their momma this book definitely kept me interested.
This is THE TRUTH! This book can relate to many people out in the world these day's it's scary... K.F Johnson out did herself on this one...I must say I didn't care for the drunk abusive father and kinda sympathize with the twins at 1st....lol...Great book ..Bravo ..I know pt.2 will be on hits...
This was a phenomenal read. It was so difficult to put down. It was an edge of your seat drama. You get so involved in the characters lives that you feel like you know them, I felt every emotion, and envisioned every scene as if it was playing out in front of me. I didn't want it to end. Time to dive in to part 2, "Liar's Ball." KF Johnson Thank you for this amazing writing and heart wrenching drama⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well, this was a really great read, I must say that once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I finished. The intensity of not knowing what's going to happen is what I love in a book and that is what was delivered! I enjoy reading books by K.F. Johnson because honestly, I don't know what I'm getting myself into and I love it!! Lol
This was a great read. There were so many twists and turns that I couldn't put it down. This book had my emotions all over the place. It was like being on a rollercoaster ride, up one minute and down the next. Drama, suspense, and action all the way through the pages. I look forward to reading more from this author. I am still trying to figure out if I am sitting in the audience of an old Jerry Springer episode! This is such a GREAT BOOK!! I could not stop reading it...so many twists and turns! The author really set up the characters beautifully. The story line was very easy to follow and OH BOY! Does she know how to really set the reader up for 'dropped jaw syndrome'...my jaw is still DROPPED! This is a story about love, and searching everywhere for it--losing in the game of love, abuse, family bonds, family secrets and lies, promiscuity, self hatred, choices, chances and karma -- plus throw in a little murder, 'down-low' action and stalking to boot...and you have the recipe for an OUTSTANDING book!! I would say if you have not had the pleasure of reading this book, PLEASE DO! 5 stars and 2 Snaps Up!*Drops mic and walks away..
